Vilnius-based conceptual womenswear designer Morta Nakaite crafts serene, sculptural silhouettes that embody the poetic essence of her Lithuanian heritage. Her collections, celebrated at events like Vilnius Fashion Week 'Mados infekcija' and London Fashion Week, invite a contemplative journey through memory and place, seamlessly blending art and design.
Morta’s designs have been a highlight at Vilnius Fashion Week Mados infekcija and were showcased at London Fashion Week, selected among 16 top emerging global designers.
She is also known for her ongoing work in costume design for theater and performing arts.
Morta describes her design philosophy as interdisciplinary dive into an intuitive and creative process which allows her to communicate what hardly can be described by words and finds meaning in s i l e n c e.
